BOS Sends:
- Tyler Johnson $500,000 $500,000 - VAN 2019 2nd Rounder - Waived Contract: Quincy Pondexter | $1,950,000
Total Outgoing: $2,450,000
MIN Sends:
- Derrick Favors $12,000,000
Total Outgoing: $12,000,000
While I do like Tyler's production on his contract for another two years, I see Favors as a more legitimate resign target for me especially if he gets back to form. I accept.
* If no other way of clearing cap is presented by the end of the season, I am willing to amnesty Gortat as a means of getting under @trade Committee.

I accept. I like the idea of giving Favors another year to get back to form, but it is a gamble, and the price for holding out waiting is just too high with Lillard around. I've still got my fingers crossed for him.
Johnson's shown he can provide decent production with bench minutes, and I imagine his contract will compel whichever team he's on to keep him on the floor.

Pretty good risk/reward move by both teams here. Favors has been a guy who seems to have been a promising talent for like 10 years. Good risk by the Celtics, the amnesty in hand means no worries about cap pressure.
Johnson is potentially on one of the best contracts in the league, but that Heat back court is incredibly crowded, so his true role will be more clearly defined after the summer. Nevertheless, opening up such cap space is a great move for the Wolves.
I accept.

I accept. I like this trade for Boston. He takes a risk on Favors to see if he can average 30+ FPPG again, which if he does, would be a huge success and the resign situation is cleared up (Rudy Gobert, Otto Porter Jr., and Derrick Favors).
Minnesota gets some much needed cap space to resign Jrue Holiday and he also gets a not too shabby player in Tyler Johnson who can hopefully produce well this coming season.
Trade passed
