Detroit Sends:
PG Reggie Jackson $12m $12m $12m Philadelphia 76ers 2018 1st Round Draft Pick (Contract) Tiago Splitter $4.3m
Total 16.3m
Charlotte Sends
SG/SF Gordon Hayward $16,100,000 $16,700,000
Total: 16.1m
Reasoning: I guess I'm going all in next year. I still have an additional 1st round pick in 2018 and I know that is what I am really losing here. Reggie Jackson has not been the player I thought we was going to be. If I really want to win it all, I need some more scoring and Hayward gives me that. Welcome to Detroit you preppy white boy. Time to toughen up.

I accept. Reggie Jackson is probably at his all-time lowest in terms of value right now but I have faith he can turn it around. I get a first rounder in return and also free up an additional $5m going into the off-season.

I accept.
I think Detroit has done really well out of this. There are still plenty of question marks on Reggie Jackson, and he is locked in for a fair few years still. If the trade rumours are true and he gets dealt somewhere, his production will really suffer. Meanwhile, the 76ers will pretty much be able to keep their entire roster from this year, which means that 1st round pick isn't overly valuable.
But, if Reggie finds some form back, then Charlotte has done pretty nicely. Big IF at the moment though.
