Detroit Sends:
SG Rodney Hood $1,400,000 $2,400,000 $3,400,000
Minnesota Sends:
C Tyson Chandler $500,000 $500,000
2019 Second Round Draft Pick
effective cap implications: Detroit sheds .9 million for the 2016-17 season
I desperately need a center. I currently have two and they are on the same team...not ideal. This will fix that problem. Chandler is inexpensive and still a good player. (I have also traded from having garbage Alex Len, to now having the suns starting center. That makes me happy)
Additionally I feel with the improvement of Utah's roster, Hood is not going to be getting the ball as much anymore so I am okay losing hood and the potential he has going for him.
Now that second round pick, you guys know I love second round picks. I had to get another.
P.S. WHO KNEW WE HAD SO MANY SWEET FONTS TO CHOOSE FROM?!?

Oh my god this trade post.
I accept. Should Coach Watson go away from Tyson Chandler and #FREEALEXLEN? Probably. Will he? Probably not. Still, I'm high on Hood (and apparently the Jazz). I like his ceiling going forward and his fit with my core.

I like Hood more, he has shown a lot more promise. Detroit has good depth at the SG and SF positions though and quality centers are hard to come by.
I accept.

Pistons really did need another C. Hood wasn't going to help them win the title this year, so moves were made. I accept. Also, easily the best trade post, this trade could have been clear collusion, but the colours and fonts, I would have accepted anyway.
