Portland Trail Blazers Receive: SG Monta Ellis 7.50 7.50 7.50 2017 NYK 2nd 2018 DET 1st 2018 SAC 2nd
Total: $7.50M
Minnesota Timberwolves Receive: PF/C Dwight Powell 0.50 0.50 0.50
Total: $.50M
It's ya boi, Sam Hinkie Blazers GM here back with another rip roarer of a trade. I'll be getting some picks bundled with Monta, who contrary to popular belief, does not have it all other than a big ol' contract. Both will be invaluable in expediting #TheProcess.
The Wolves'll be getting Dwight Powell who can immediately help out in a championship push seeing as Dirk's struggled to remain healthy.
I accept.

Trade breakdown: - Two second round picks for Dwight Powell, who is playing behind Dirk (last-legs) and Bogut (near-future traded).
- One first round pick for not having to live with the shame of having traded into three years of Monta "I'm comfortable with my reduced offensive role" Ellis.
Mayyyyyyybe I'm panic selling on Ellis after a couple of bad games and a poorly timed injury, but he's been inconsistent for all of the past two months, and I don't see why that would change going forward. My plan was to trade the Detroit pick for cap considerations by the time the season was out anyways, and this trade accomplishes that just fine. Powell is producing more than can be expected of most 2nd rounders, and like Mr. Hinkie over there said, we're after that title.
I accept.

Good trade for both teams. Monta Ellis relies too much on athleticism to have a graceful dance with father time and if Minnesota was already trading that DET 1st for cap, I think this is an excellent trade. For Portland, he adds another first rounder which should be a good one.
I accept.

Monta Ellis is still playing in the NBA?? Well thats surprising enough. Let alone this AI-generated name Dwight Powell. Surely he doesn't exist either.
So I suppose this trade then becomes the Timbewolves trading a bunch of picks for nothing. Happy to see that occurring.
I accept!
