Minnesota Sends:
SG/SF Kent Bazemore (0.50)
PG Tony Parker (2.00)
Sacramento Sends:
SF/PF Al-Farouq Aminu (4.50 4.50) SAC 2018 2nd round pick
effective cap implications: Sacramento shed 2 million this year and 4.5 million in 2017-18 I've expressed already how much I want out of San Antonio fantasy shares, and I'm pleased I've found a way to do it. I had high hopes for Bazemore this year, and I'm afraid I'm giving up on him too early. While both of these guys are occasionally good for a solid contribution, they've both been maddeningly inconsistent, and I want out. In return I'm bringing on a guy I think will provide me with much more reliable production in Aminu. And really, it's crazy I made it this long without finding a way to bring a Blazer onto my squad.
I don't like taking on the extra 2 million in cap. I'm currently choosing to think of the difference as money spent to buy the pick.

Sacramento accepts.
Mr. Vivek Ranadive, like all great owners, sees the key to surrounding Boogie with talent is through overpaying on free agents. He needs cap space in order to do so.
The pick is the center of this trade from Sacramento's standpoint. In Bazemore, it gets a player who is strikingly similar to the guy it gives up, Aminu. Since Bazemore and Parker's contracts both expire next year, Sacramento purchased itself 4.5 million in cap space to overpay this year's crop of free agents.
If Vivek kept the pick, he'd just use it on another Center who Boogie wouldn't let see the court.

Good trade for both teams!
I can see why Sacramento does this - he's clearing $4.50m next season. Al-Farouq Aminu has been injured and it looks like Harkless might be starting but he should be a solid option off the bench and worthy of being rostered in our league. Also, Minnesota gets a second rounder.
I accept.

Nice to get Aminu off the books for the next 2 years and clear some cap space. Baze surely can't play any worse than he is now either. Meanwhile a 2nd round pick + Aminu for the carcass of Tony Parker and Kent Bazemore is a decent return.
I accept.
