Lakers send: Bradley Beal 7.5 NOP 2nd round pick 2017
Pelicans send: Gary Harris 0.5, 0.5 $3m cap space for 2016/17 season
I accept, Harris is a good young player who I like, but I think Beal can get over his injuries from last season and lead me to the title I so deserve in 2016/17.

I am once again clearing cap space , I'm also getting Harris a 21 year old prospect that is suppose to break out next year with more ball touches , and minutes. I am losing Beal and my 2017 2nd rounder , but Beal is injury prone and will also only play about 25 minutes a game.

I understand the frustration with Beal's injuries but even the pure analytics folks say next year is really the pivotal year. He doesn't need to be the next great SG, but simply the next Khris Middleton or Klay Thompson. Both of whom struggled until they broke out in their 3rd year at 23. There are 4 general outcomes with him going foward as a player. 1) He takes big leap and becomes top tier SG. 2) He takes gradual leaps and becomes Wes Mathews/Kris Middleton. 3) He becomes marginally better, but not note worthy and essentially becomes role player 4) He makes no improvement and has continuing injuries. If he gets a large 4-year contract next year, then he is a positive asset in scenarios 1 and 2, somewhat neutral asset in scenario 3, and a negative asset in scenario 4. If we take out the two extremes (Scenarios 1 & 4), then our real downside appears to be a player that would have to be dumped on one of the many losers in the 2017 FA period. I can live with that. It is important to note that over the last 3 years he is taking more shots at the basket: 13/14: 15% 14/15: 21% 15/16: 23% More shots from 3: 13/14: 30% 14/15: 30% 15/16: 34% And less long 2's (16 < 3): 13/14: 36% 14/15: 28% 15/16: 18% That is a great trend. And while I worry defensively, he's not completely lost. And defense is one of those skill sets that takes a mix of "Want to" as well as savvy. This is a great deal by the Pelicans and getting a 2nd rounder on top should be considered borderline theft, just missing an injury provision. I accept

Pelicans got away with one here. Beal is already playing well and he's only 22. Sure, he's injury prone but once again, he's only 22. What Orlando posted proves he is trending in the right direction. I understand why the trade was made by LAL, but I definitely feel like it was a mistake. You win some, you lose some. Except for me. I just win some.
I accept

Why didn't you say this earlier ? He probably just saw it afterwards. I didn't notice it until Orlando brought it up. With NOP happy to proceed without the pick, I reconfirm my acceptance.

Why didn't you say this earlier ? I didn't notice earlier. I would have thought you remembered trading me that pick 5 days ago.

I'll go on as well without the pick , as Kaiser said Harris is a more durable version of Beal I'll take his word. This won't destroy my team seeing as Beal didn't really help last season
