Rules are rules. Didn't mean to cause a stir. up to raptors. Lakers, if it is declined we can obviously re-negotiate with EXTREMELY similar parameters of the deal.
They aren't rejecting because I tried to back out, they appear to be rejecting based on analysis of the trade

Not necessarily, I think we could find something that the TC agrees on.

This really is a tough one, although at the end of the day, it isn't a trade that puts Indiana in a position down the road where they can't succeed. They still have enough depth and definitely enough cap space to build a solid team. I mean, they have 33.4m this year to spend however they'd like. I will only ever deny a trade when it puts the team in a position where they are absolutely screwed for multiple years. Indiana is not screwed, seeing as they have the second most cap space and some solid players (George, Monroe, Whiteside). Also, I don't see the 8th overall pick being that valuable as this draft class is extremely weak. The trade committee isn't in place to protect owners from making bad decisions, but rather to ensure the league is run fairly. We need to set the precedent that teams cannot go back on their deals after they have already submitted them.
Indiana, I hope you don't hold this against me, but I am going to be accepting the deal.
