The San Antonio Spurs and The Golden State Warriors have agreed to the following trade
SAS Sends: Monta Ellis (7.5, 7.5, 7.5)
GSW Sends: Harrison Barnes (5.2) + 2017 GSW Second Round Pick
This trade gives Golden state an established and solid contributor in Monta Ellis. A guard who averaged ~30 fantasy ppg last season. San Antonio receives Harrison Barnes in the final year of his contract. Barnes is a RFA this year and it is unclear what his future team and role will be . San Antonio is willing to take on the risk of a drop in production in exchange for some cap flexibility this year and GSW's 2017 second round pick.

Accept. I believe that Ellis can be a solid contributor on my team; he has three years remaining on a contract that isn't too bad. Barnes is a very good player with a bright future, but I probably cannot re-sign him because I have to worry about Steph/Klay/Dray. The 2017 second rounder was included to make the trade more even, knowing that Barnes is a free agent after this season.

I accept. San Antonio gets a very good player in Harrison Barnes at the risk of losing for nothing but still gets a 2nd rounder. Golden State adds productivity and some needed guard depth.

I accept.
Surely Ellis improves next season, and now the Warriors don't have to worry as much about who to re-sign over the coming years.
