SAS Sends Marc Gasol + SAS 2016 second round pick
IND Sends Mike Conley + Jamal Crawford + 1.6 Million Cash (to even salaries)
The deal also includes an injury provision. If Marc Gasol is unable to play next season for reasons relating to his foot injury this year and Indiana chooses to waive him, SAS will pay the 50% of this salary that will remain on their books for next year (7 million). SAS will set their cap to 83 million for next season until Gasol returns to action.
In this trade Indiana receives a top 30 player and a pick to aid their rebuilding process. San Antonio receives two veterans that will immediately aid in their playoff run

I accept.
Injuries plagued me this season, and as such it's time to plan for the future.
This is a risk-averse trade that allows me to leverage two expiring contracts and cap flexibility in return for an amazing center in Gasol.
Conley and Crawford are ready to contribute to a Spurs title run, and the Pacers wish them the best.

To even salaries, only $1.3m would need to be sent.

We'll concede the extra $300k as cash considerations aka good faith money for future dealings.

I am fine with the deal.
If anyone wants to send me 300K for good faith and future dealings I am fine with that.
I accept

Looks good.
I am also fine with receiving 300k for good faith money. Keep that in mind.
I approve.
EDIT: My approval is now on hold until a resolution is sorted out.

Haha the 1.6 million was a clerical error on my part. I am fine with the 1.3 mil to make the salaries work.

The deal looks fine but the injury provision included is unenforceable.

How so? Isn't it essentially a temp cap hold?

It becomes difficult to keep track of which teams have temporary cap holds and when these cap holds will be lifted. Also, what if San Antonio does not have enough remaining cap space to take on the $7m as a result of you waiving Gasol?
It just becomes too much of a hassle

I can understand where the Commish is saying and it makes sense. Indiana I will honour our agreement. I will keep my total salary for next season below $83 million until Gasol returns to the court.

I would not be able to enforce the injury provision but if you guys can do the trade without it then it can be passed. Just let me know what you want to do.
