Toronto Receives Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (6.3)(8.3) Tyson Chandler (7.0)(7.0)(7.0) 3m
Los Angeles Receives Marcus Morris (5.0)(4.6)(5.0)(5.4) Shane Larkin (0.5)(0.5)(0.5) 2016 LAC 2nd Rounder
I am receiving a young player that will hopefully contribute quite a bit in the future. Defensively, he will be one of the best in the game and hopefully he can improve his offence enough to become a solid player on that side of the ball as well. I am taking Chandler's large contract off of LAL's hands and plan to amnesty him in the offseason. The 3m is just to put me below the cap. Marcus Morris has played well this year, but I do not see him as a part of my core going forward in this league. Shane Larkin has tons of potential, especially considering he is so young, however, when given the minutes as of late, he has not impressed. I am sure he will develop into a decent PG in a couple years, but I don't see him having a ceiling close to that of MKG.

I accept , with me being in a win now mode Morris will add those points that MKG just can't yet , I understand I'm losing a part of my core but with Dlo , Clarkson , Lillard and now Larkin it's slowly but surely regaining important players .

I had written up what I wanted to say but noticed this trade would push Toronto over the cap space. Also, where are the Lakers getting 3m from?

I figured with the 3m it would keep me under? The Lakers would be getting the 3m from losing MKG and Chandler and only gaining Morris and Larkin. That results in more than 3m that he is able to give. Does it not work like that? Would he have to have the 3m prior to the deal?
