As much as I regret letting go of Damian Lillard, Dirk, and Jeremy Lamb, it's time to move on from our contending efforts this season. With this trade, Portland will be able to quickly rebuild around dynamic young players, Jabari Parker and Jahlil Okafor, as well as our other core members. We also drastically save on cap space next season to hopefully make a splash in free agency.
Los Angeles Receives: Damian Lillard $4.20 20.80 22.40 23.90 25.50 Dirk Nowitzki $8.30 8.70 Jeremy Lamb $3.00 3.00 3.00 3.00 2018 1st 2019 1st Cash $-6.6
Total: $8.90 32.50 25.40 26.9 25.50
Portland Receives: Jahlil Okafor $4.30 4.40 4.60 5.80 7.60 Jabari Parker $5.20 5.40 6.90 8.90 Saric Draft Rights 2017 1st 2017 2nd 2018 2nd

Hey guys, First, I must commend you on the time and thought that must have gone into this. There are a couple problems. 1. Per the Rules: You cannot trade first round draft picks in consecutive years (i.e. selling your 2016 and 2017 first rounder) 2. The Lakers would be $3.85m over the cap with this trade

The Lakers GM and I will discuss the 1st problem, but the Lakers aren't over the cap with the cash I'm sending.
Lakers 87.85-(4.3+5.2)+(4.2+8.3+3)-(6.6) = 87.25
Trailblazers 89.2-(4.2+8.3+3)+(4.3+5.2)+(6.6) = 89.8
Is there an error somewhere?

Where are you getting this cash? According to the Master Roster, you have $0.80m in cap remaining.

Ah it appears I misinterpreted the rules. I thought I could go over the cap during a transaction as long as I was under it afterwards. Late night delerium everybody! Lakers and I will renegotiate.

According to the trade posted, Portland would be sending you (Lakers) cash since Portland is only taking on $9.5m but you are taking $15.5m with only $2.5m in remaining cap.
