After an exciting first week, many teams look to bounce back after disappointing losses, while others look to keep things going.
Match-up 1: Clippers @ Rockets:
Clips got upset in Week 1, with what I'd consider to be a underwhelming performance by Lebron's standards, but there's no reason for panic. Rockets had a decent showing in the first week but ran into the fantasy brick wall that is Steph Curry. Rockets IRL have started slow, but play 4 games this week compared to LA's 3. Look for this to be one of the closer match-ups this week.
Prediction: Clippers
Match-up 2: Warriors @ Raptors:
Raptors loss a tough one in Week 1 against the Bulls, but did score more points then the Warriors who pulled away with the dub. Hard not to go with the Warriors who have four games this week though.
Prediction: Warriors
Match-up 3: Spurs @ Pelicans:
Both teams were close in terms of output in Week 1 but only SA got the win. The Spurs have a well rounded team, while NOP have gotten hit with the injury bug early. Look for the Spurs to edge out the pelicans with the help of their new logo. <---- (See ESPN League for reference)
Prediction: Spurs
Match-up 4: Bulls @ Thunder:
I think we can all agree that this will be the marquee match-up this week. Both teams look both deep and strong, with a mere .4 points of separation in Week 1. Both teams are 1-0 but one team's undefeated season ends this week. I think the only major factor here is that OKC is playing four games this week.
Prediction: Thunder
Match-up 5: Pacers @ Timberwolves:
Pacers, had a nice showing in week 1, led by PG 13. Timberwolves have a young and upcoming team, but not a lot of depth. Kyrie not being healthy doesn't help their case.
Prediction: Pacers
Match-up 6: Jazz @ Lakers:
Jazz surprised just about everyone (besides themselves) with the best Week 1 performance. Trust me, their team built around strong depth is gonna hit hard. Lakers have a nice young team, but i'd be surprised if they pulled off the upset.
Prediction: Jazz
Match-up 7: Portland @ Magic:
Magic look to stay undefeated at home in Week 2. Orlando got an easy win with both, a strong performance from their own team, and a weak one from the wolves who only managed to score more points then the lowly mavericks. Portland did score more points in week 1 though, coming away with the win. This one is extremely tough to predict. Gonna have to go with Portland cause I think they have the easier schedule, just barely.
