So, I think it would be fun to make predictions each week. Feel free to post your predictions but you don't necessarily have to.
Match-up 1: Rockets @ Warriors:
This one was tough, especially with both teams playing 3 games this week. Rockets have two ATL starters playing 4 games in week one, along with a productive Kenneth Faried. Golden State's got a terribly stacked starting lineup with a little less depth. This one could really go either way.
Prediction: Rockets
Match-up 2: Raptors @ Bulls:
Another close one. Raptors have a decent, diverse, lineup. Bulls are rolling with a team almost entirely made up of Bulls players, supplemented with ATL's Kyle Korver playing 4 games in week 1. That Means that Bull's entire team will play four games. Timofey Vs. Noah will be an interesting matchup to watch both in fantasy and IRL tonight.
Prediction: Bulls
Match-up 3: Clippers @ Spurs:
The rematch has come sooner then most fans thought! Both teams are rolling out a moshposh of their own and other teams players. SA will put up a good fight with Gasol, Freak, and Leonard, but the Clips are an absolute power house.
Prediction: Clippers
Match-up 4: Kings @ Pacers:
Pacers have good depth and what would be a daunting front court IRL in Hibbert and Whiteside. Sac's got two statsheet stuffers in Gay and Cousins. Both teams have 3 games. I would normally go with the kings in this match-up, but cousins is going up against DeAndre Jordan twice in 3 games. I also predict a strong start for PG, so i'm going with an upset here.
Prediction: Pacers
Match-up 5: Pelicans @ Thunder:
Both teams have 3 games week 1. Sadly NO is going up against the defending champs twice in that span. Assuming they adjust their lineup, they still may have a chance with the Davis-Drummond Duo. Or as I like to call them, "Double D's". I'm just now starting to realize the potential that OKC's team has to win it all, and i'm regretting going kind of all in this year because of it. I think OKC edges out the Pelicans just by pure talent.
Prediction: Thunder
Match-up 6: Timberwolves @ Magic:
Both teams are playing with a chip on their shoulders after being pegged in the lower half of preseason power rankings. Both teams are made up of players from their respective teams. Orlando is supplemented by John Wall, and Minny only has 2 games in the first week.
Prediction: Magic
Match-up 7: Lakers @ TrailBlazers:
In the state that both of the teams are now Portland would obviously take it, but i'm going to assume that LA optimizes their lineup. Portlands got some good players but need to make roster adjustments as well. *cough*Thompson<Bosh*cough*. I think with roster adjustments, LA takes it based on pure talent.
Prediction: Lakers
