How does everyone thing Chicago and Orlando can get under the cap with out waiving or amnestying players out right. Everyone's cap is just about full and they need to clear $16.9 Million and $15 Million. I have been looking over their teams trying to capitalize on the situation that they are in but I can't figure anything out. So as a community does anyone have any ideas on how this can be done?
This isn't meant to be a knock on the two teams, I am sincerely curious on what can possibly work hurt short of getting rid of star players. Interested in hearing what everyone thinks!

They went over to resign players and because of the reload draft, so i think it's ok

Is that how it works, so resigning Jimmy Butler was okay and they will just take a hit on salary, so on october 1st they will still bo over and that will be okay?
If this is true, then Chicago is good to go and Orlando only has to clear .10 of cap. Which explains why my one sided trade offers are not working!

They used bird rights, which are done after this year, to resign their players. There was no cap on bird rights ( as most people voted for in the poll) but I am guessing that they will need to be under the hard cap next year since bird rights are being eliminated.

My understanding of the rule was that after this year bird rights used to go over the cap were fine and after theyre eliminated those players that were signed and that took the team will be grandfathered in. So next year I wont have to cut players I just wont have much cap to work with
