Denied.
Spurs should be removed from this league.
Another lazy, careless move from someone who just doesn’t give a shit, read the rules, or seem at all interested in Guru or winning. Why is this person in our league?
There is NO time pressure or impending move that requires taking the least back from a pick I’ve ever seen and any casual glance at past trades or asking other GMs could net several million more for this pick in seconds.
This might be worst pound for pound trade I’ve ever seen, even if the scale is small.
Beyond atrocious.

If Spurs wants to dump a $1m contract for a second rounder in 2023, by all means. I approve.

This is a joke to have this clown represent this league.

I have no need to respond to Spurs, but I respect Philly and I will expand on my vote. Philly just took 3m in dead money for a second last month for what is considered fair market value: basketballguru.proboards.com/post/5612/threadTrading for 1m is 3x less value. Thats insane. I respect Wolves and Mavs votes, the position of only considering whether or not it decimates the franchise is reasonable. That is my position 99.9% of the time too. But a pick for cash significantly reduces the subjectivity of the evaluation to the point where a trade this simple and without players involved enables a TC member to look at it on a purely mathematical and market basis. If a company sold its Google stock for $400 when the market value is $1200, the shareholders would sue the company for malpractice and win. The Spurs are engaging in fantasy malpractice with this trade. Wolves just wrote “I like Derrick Favors and you can’t stop me”. Players in trades make it almost impossible to deny a trade because our subjective evaluations differ drastically. The market value of a 2nd rounder is known however. What Spurs feelings on how much a second is worth is irrelevant—he can get 3x more for the asset than he did, making it malpractice towards his franchise. Fantasy is only fun if the people you play against care and offer resistance. If you’ve ever played Fantasy Football with people IRL you know it’s a boring stomp and sucks. This dynasty league is geared towards nba fantasy nerds who are competitive. Most people aren’t, and that’s perfectly fine. But then don’t participate in this league—go do something else. Spurs has consistently shown he doesn’t give a shit by illegally adding players, making illegal bids, ignoring the rules or not reading them, and refusing to even make the slightest effort in getting a decent return for a 2nd rounder to open up cap. My hope is he’ll start making a reasonable effort going forward, or let someone else who wants to compete and actually try to run the franchise instead.
