Marc Gasol $4,000,000 $4,000,000 $4,000,000 $4,000,000
Joe Ingles $500,000 $500,000
Josh Richardson $6,500,000 $6,500,000 $6,500,000 $6,500,000 Norman Powell $500,000 $500,000
Spurs Send
Rudy Gay $7,000,000 Jeremy Lamb $1,000,000 $1,000,000 Tomas Satoransky $500,000 $500,000 OKC 2020 1st
The Minnesota Timberwolves shed $3 million for the 2019-2020 season
I accept. I need a little more cap flexibility at the moment, and am even more going to need the extra room when KAT and Lillard's re-signs come up this summer (especially if Dame keeps having another career year). If I'm especially lucky, one of Lamb and Satoransky can outdo one of Ingles and Gasol at the pointy end of the season, and I"ll work to turn the pick into something more immediately useful than Richardson.

I accept. Might be considered a strange deal, but I need C help pretty badly and Richardson has tons of potential.

Here is a rare glimpse of my spreadsheet, ordering his contracts, from best to worst: Wolves dumped 4 of his worst 7 contracts onto the Spurs. Marc Gasol is 35 years old, putting up 24 FPPG for 4m a year, and guaranteed 12m. That is atrocious. Huge negative. Joe ingles puts up 20 FPPG for 500k, it's worthless. Norman Powell was just acquired off FA, YOU COULD HAVE PICKED HIM UP FOR FREE... no value here, either. That means the only thing of positive value is: Josh Richardson. Signed for free in Summer FA, putting up 28 FPPG for 6.5m which is basically fair market value. You got Josh Richardson's mediocre contract and took on 13m in other contracts that have no value, and you gave up: a 2020 OKC first that has a good chance of being a LOTTERY 1st PICK your 4th best contract in Tomas Satoransky, 500k 500k good cheapo contract that produces 24 FPPG your 2nd best contract in Jeremy Lamb, 1m 1m for 28 FPPG. Even if it drops to 24-26 FPPG when Oladipo returns, it's still a good contract. You gave those 3 assets up and took on 13m in bad contracts... for Josh Richardson? Dumping Rudy Gay's 7m (this year only) contract is a positive... if you were competing this year, which you're not, so the cap space you gain serves almost no purpose since you're 3-5 and have like a 2% chance of making the playoffs (haven't updated Power Rankings yet, not sure how it will calculate the added wins from retroactive wins added to your total this week). Josh Richardson is a mediocre contract and he plays with Embiid/Simmons/Horford/Harris.... what upside is there even if you believed in this guy? Everything about this trade is horrendous, and I can only conclude that Mr. Minnesota is a Wolf in sheeps clothing, and a soulless sociopath violating your roster with such surgical precision. I thought Wolves was a nice guy, but after what he just did to you, I need to re-evaluate my assessment of him, because this was a merciless act of unmitigated violence. I don't need to watch Hannibal, I've already witnessed him in action after this trade. I approve.

Not the greatest trade for the Spurs, but I guess you gotta shoot your shot eventually. I like Josh Richardson but he's just an average free agent signing. Spurs giving up another first rounder, what's new? Minnesota definitely gets the better end of this one.
I approve
