Denver trades:
Jordan Bell .6, (.7) Montrez Harrell .5, .5 Gorgui Dieng 1.5, 1.5, (1.5) D Will waived contract (5) Lil Boban waived (1) Pat Mccaw waived (1) Archie Goodwin waived (.5) Monta Ellis waived (.5) Pascal waived (.5) Omri Casspi waived (.5)
11.6 total.
Vancouver trades:
Ricky Rubio 14.8 Bebe 1, (1) J Patton .6, (.7)
16.4 total.
I accept. I think any objective rebiew of this trade would say that I lost this one, and this is not how I had intended on using up much of my newly found cap space, but I like it anyways, so fuck it. I have always felt that Bell and Harrell were awesome, but do not seem to have received much respect in the league. They will both start for their respective teams at some point this year - I'm sure of it. But it had always been the goal to consolidate a lot of these smaller team friendly contracts into a greater player, and despite Bell and Harrell's promise, Rubio is a better player. Ultimately, those guys were not of such great value to me that I saw them as a long term answer for me, and I needed to clear roster spots somewhere somehow. I dont know that Rubio is either, but Ill take the 27-30 fppg production in the meantime. Also excited to rid myself of the Dieng money next year.

I accept
I clear up some space to re-sign Hayward and maintain some degree of flexibility. I don't love the 2nd year on DIeng, but it's not a high price to pay for two young guys with promise on contract until the re-sign reset. If Bell or Harrell break out, I can make decisions in a couple years.
I probably shouldn't have taken on Rubio last year, and I don't think it's in my interest to waste his productivity this year with no intention to re-sign him. He's the lowest upside of the large contracts I still have, and moving him takes a lot of pressure off of me.

Love it. Bell and Harrell are some solid gets, and cap space is easier to clear when it's broken up into chunks. Denver gets a possible re-sign target? Approved.

Ricky Rubio doesn't strike me as a player you'd want to resign, but he may be a solid trade piece for Denver and I think he's worth more than anything else being given up in this deal. Bebe and Patton are both irrelevant.
I approve.
