Charlotte Hornets trade:
PG John Wall $17,000,000 $18,200,000 $19,100,000 (To LA Lakers)
PG Sergio Rodriguez $1,000,000 $1,000,000 $1,000,000
$5.5m cash (To LA Lakers)
Charlotte Hornets 2018 2nd rounder
Total: $23.5m
Los Angeles Lakers trade:
SF/PF Brandon Ingram $4,300,000 $4,400,000 $4,600,000 $5,800,000 $7,600,000
PF Terrance Jones $3,500,000
C Alex Len $4,800,000 $6,400,000
Total:$12.6m
I accept. Lakers gain $0.1m with this trade. I didn't see myself winning this year with teams like the Pelicans, Spurs and now Lakers. I get a very solid piece in Ingram who might be a future superstar in this league and is only 19 years old. Ingram will be able to come in and help us compete in the future and matches up with the age of my roster very well.

I accept, I am getting another top 10, top 20 player in Wall. I love Ingram being a Lakers fan but this offer I couldn't turn down. Wall can help me win this year and hopefully next.

I've had a really tough time with this trade.
But I accept.
I think the Lakers have got an absolutely incredible deal here and am shocked that they were able to pull off such a great trade. Well done! Brandon Ingram should be good, but nothing is assured. And to get a legitimate top 5 PG on a good contract (re-sign calculator says 19.5) is just extremely well done by the Lakers. Let alone to get the stingy Hornets to donate $5.5m to make the trade work. Wowee. Super impressive.

Sorry for taking so long with this trade.
A part of me is against this trade as it does put the Lakers in a tough position down the road cap-wise and considering their current cap situation... it worries me. However, the other part of me believes it is possible to have all three stars while still maintaining a solid cap situation. Both teams acquire assets that improve them in a certain area whether it be now or in the future.
Considering my confidence in the fact that the Lakers can indeed handle his cap, I accept.
The Lakers are now a legitimate contender, so good for them.
